The Club hosts regular Monthly Weekend trips and Day Trips to rivers and lakes in our region
We also hold a Wader Skills Course, a River Skills Day and a Fly Casting Clinic
CLUB FISHING TRIPS
Hello Fishers
The new Committee met on Tuesday 26th July and fishing opportunities for club members were discussed.
This year we will offer a new format. Lester has been appointed Raffle Convener. We will raffle fishing trips and the winner of each raffle will get one or days fishing with a mentor. The mentors are Cameron Reid, Don Clementson and Lester Higgins.
The tickets for a one day river trip will cost $2.00 each; the tickets for a two day trip to Lake Brunner or Lake Rotoroa will cost $5.00.
When 30 tickets have been sold in each raffle it will be drawn.
Conditions of entry
The trips with Cameron and Don will be one day river fishing.
The mentor will decide in consultation with the winner on which river to fish and when (taking into consideration the winner's skill and physical ability) and will be weekends only. You will be given free return transport from Richmond.
There will be 2 two day trips with Lester- one to Lake Brunner and one to Lake Rotoroa. You will be given free return transport from Brightwater and free boat transport on the lake.
At Lake Rotoroa you will be able to fish both the D'Urville and Sabine Rivers
At Lake Brunner you will be fly fishing from the boat.
The winners will have to supply their own fishing gear and food, also pay for their accommodation on the Lake trips (Lake Brunner $27.00 per night, Rotoroa $5.00 per night).
On the Lake trips you may take a companion with you if you wish but that person will have to pay their share of the vehicle and boat fuel costs.
You may buy more than one ticket in any raffle.
If a retired person wins the two day trip it can be taken during the week.
If the trips prove popular more can be organized.
